Abstracts
General information

Abstracts will be reviewed and accepted on a rolling basis until July 31st

The scientific organising committee of VasCog 2023 is pleased to announce the call for abstracts for Oral or Poster presentations concerning any of the conference’s main themes. Only abstracts submitted through this online portal will be considered. Once submitted, a confirmation with the abstract reference code will automatically be emailed to the corresponding author. Please check your spam folder if you cannot find it. Review of abstracts will be performed by the congress organisers on a rolling basis so you can plan your travel. The abstract portal will close on July 31st. Abstracts will be reviewed according to the following criteria: (a) relevance to a specific symposium, (b) scientific content, quality and innovative proposals, (c) clarity of the text. Notification of acceptance/rejection of the abstracts will be sent by email to the corrosponding author. Congress organisers will be responsible for the final selection of scientific presentations and poster sessions from the submitted abstracts. Accepted abstracts must be presented by an author who is registered and has paid to attend the conference.

Instructions for authors

Abstracts are to be limited to a maximum of 350 words and should be a condensed version of the final presentation to include all significant findings. Abstracts must be written in standard grammatical English, contain adequate information to allow a sound referee review and written so that readers who are not specialists will be able to appreciate the purpose of the study and understand the procedures and conclusions. We welcome a maximum of 3 supporting figures, uploaded as a PDF attachment.

Abstracts should be structured to include the following sections:

  • Introduction (background/aims)
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusion

Early career investigator award

Upon submitting your abstract, you will be asked if you would like to be considered for an Early Career Investigator award. Early career investigators include MD and PhD students, postdoctoral researchers and assistant professors. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three abstracts.

Posters

If you are selected to present a poster, the dimensions are to be 90cm in height and 80cm in width. 

Poster printing

Posters can be printed at a cost of 940SEK per poster, excl taxes. To get your poster printed, send your poster in Pdf format (1.4 or higher), allowing for a 10mm border to maria.lindback@meetx.se before the 6th September 2023.
